Transport for London - Weekend travel information - 18 and 19 August 2018

Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend,18 and 19 August, and the following week.

Most of the network will be open with services running as normal so you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Underground



Bakerloo line
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August, there will be no service between Elephant & Castle and Harrow & Wealdstone. This is due to track maintenance.

Central line
Trains will not stop at Bank station from 00:30 on Saturday 18 and all day Sunday 19 August. Use Liverpool Street or St. Paul’s instead. This is due to platform engineering work.

During Night Tube hours on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 August (00:30 until 05:30), St. Paul’s station will be exit only. Please use Liverpool Street or Chancery Lane stations to enter between these times. This is due to escalator refurbishment works.

Jubilee line
From 01:00 until 05:00 on Saturday 18 and from 03:15 until 06:00 on Sunday 19 August, there will be no service between Wembley Park and Waterloo. This is due to the transfer of engineering trains.

London Overground


On Thursday 16 August, there will no service between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town / Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:45, due to Network Rail track work.
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August, there will be no service between:
Euston and Watford Junction, due to Network Rail track work and Network Rail work at Euston station to enable High Speed Two (HS2)
South Tottenham and Barking, due to Network Rail track and infrastructure work

TfL Rail


On Saturday 18 August, there will be a reduced service of two trains per hour between Paddington and Heathrow with trains not stopping at Acton Main Line. This is due to Crossrail work.

National Rail


On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August, there will be no service between Euston and Hemel Hempstead. This is due to High Speed Two work at Euston Station.
On Sunday 19 August, there will be no service between:
Brixton and Shortlands, due to track maintenance
Loughborough Junction and Herne Hill, due to track work





Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:

Victoria Embankment - Until mid-September 2018, there will be no access to Victoria Embankment for westbound vehicles beyond Southwark Bridge. This is to allow Cadent Gas to undertake investigatory works on a gas main. Delays on surrounding roads are expected so please leave extra time for your journey.

Balham - From 06:00 until 22:00 on Saturday 18 August, Balham High Road will be closed in both directions at Oakmead Road junction. This is to facilitate a crane removal.

Wembley Stadium - From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 18 August, there will be increased pedestrian numbers and traffic levels in the Wembley area. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium. This is due to an event.

Central London - From 19:00 on Friday 17 until 23:00 on Sunday 19 August, Fenchurch Street will be closed in both directions between Aldgate and Lloyd’s Avenue. This is due to a crane operation.

Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:
