Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 3 and 4 November, and the following week.
Most of the network will be open with services running as normal so you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

| Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers |

From Sunday 4 until Sunday 11 November, large pedestrian numbers are expected at Tower of London each day between 17:00 and 22:00. Tower Hill station will be extremely busy during the event and will be closed on Sunday 4 November.

| Anyone attending the event should use the following stations, which are all around a 10 to 15 minute walk away: |
| | • | Aldgate East via the District line and Hammersmith & City line |
| | • | Aldgate via the Metropolitan line and Circle line |
| | • | Monument via the District line and Circle line |
| | • | London Bridge via the Jubilee line, Northern line and National Rail lines |
| | • | Tower Gateway via DLR |

On Saturday 3 November, there will be no service between Willesden Junction and Shepherd’s Bush, due to Network Rail infrastructure work. Use local bus routes 220 or 228.
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November, trains will not stop at Whitechapel station. This is due to Crossrail construction work. Use local bus routes D3 or 205.
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November, there will be no service between Romford and Upminster. This is due to Crossrail construction work. Use local bus routes 165, 248 or 370.

| On Sunday 4 November, due to Network Rail work, there will be no service between: |
| | • | Euston and Watford Junction. Use London Northwestern Railway services between Euston and Watford Junction. Use local buses or the Tube between Euston and Queen’s Park. Rail replacement buses will run between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, and also between Harrow & Wealdstone and Watford Junction |
| | • | Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction. Use local buses via any reasonable route |
| | • | Willesden Junction and Camden Road until 13:45. Replacement buses will run |

On Sunday 4 November, there will be a reduced service until 14:00 between Gospel Oak and Barking. Trains will run every 30 minutes.
From Monday 5 until Thursday 8 November, there will be no service between Sydenham and West Croydon after 22:15. This is due to Network Rail track work. Use Southern Railway services between Sydenham and Norwood Junction. Rail replacement buses will run between Norwood Junction and West Croydon.

On Saturday 3 November, there will be a reduced service between Paddington and Heathrow. Trains will not stop at Acton Main Line station. This is due to Crossrail work.
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November, there will be no service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. This is due to overhead line electric renewal and track work. Rail replacement buses will run between Romford and Stratford, and between Shenfield and Newbury Park.

| On Sunday 4 November, there will be no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 09:00. This is due to Crossrail work. Use local buses for onward travel. For Heathrow terminals: |

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:
Central London - From 11:00 until 16:00 on Saturday 3 November, large pedestrian numbers are expected between Euston Road and Downing Street / Parliament Square, via Upper Woburn Place, Southampton Row, Aldwych, Strand, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. This is due to a demonstration.
Twickenham Rugby Stadium - From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 3 November, there will be increased traffic levels and pedestrian numbers around Twickenham Rugby Stadium, due to the rugby match between England and South Africa. Roads likely to be affected include the A316 Chertsey Road and all roads leading to Twickenham Station and around the stadium. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the match to assist with crowd movements. Diversions will be in place in the Twickenham area.

| Fireworks displays - Between Friday 2 and Monday 5 November, there will be fireworks displays in the following locations. There will be road closures in the vicinity to facilitate these events: |
| | • | Alexandra Palace - Friday 2 and Saturday 3 November, 16:00 to 22:30 (road closures in the area are in place from 20:00 on Thursday 1 until 07:00 on Tuesday 4 November) |
| | • | Battersea Park - Saturday 3 November, 17:00 until 21:30 |
| | • | Blackheath - Saturday 3 November, 12:00 to 21:30 |
| | • | Brockwell Park - Saturday 3 November, 17:00 to 21:00 |
| | • | Victoria Park - Sunday 4 November, 17:00 until 21:00 |
| | • | Southwark Park - Monday 5 November, from 16:00 until 22:00 |

Westminster - From 09:00 until 17:00 on Sunday 4 November, large pedestrian numbers are expected at Marble Arch, Park Lane and Curzon Gate. This is due to a march at 13:00.
Wembley Stadium - From 17:00 until 23:59 on Tuesday 6 November, large pedestrian numbers and increased traffic levels are expected in the Wembley area. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium. This is due to a football match between Tottenham and PSV Eindhoven.

Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:
Rotherhithe Tunnel - There are increased restrictions for goods vehicles at Rotherhithe Tunnel. The maximum vehicle height is 2 metres and the weight limit is 2 tonnes. The width restriction is 2 metres (or 6’6”). Drivers of goods vehicles should use Tower Bridge or Blackwall Tunnel, both of which are outside the Congestion Charging zone.
