Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 24 and 25 November, and the following week.
Most of the network will be open with services running as normal so you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

On Sunday 25 November, there will be no service between Aldgate and Wembley Park before 09:30 and after 20:30. This is due to track replacement work. For travel between Baker Street and Wembley Park, use the Jubilee line. For travel between Baker Street and Aldgate, use the Circle line or Hammersmith & City line.

From 20:00 tonight until tomorrow morning, Thursday 22 November, there will be no service between Romford and Upminster. Use local bus routes 165, 248 or 370 for travel between stations.

On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November: |
| • | There will be no service between Hackney Wick and Stratford. From 16:15 on Sunday, there will be no service between Highbury & Islington and Stratford. This is due to Crossrail construction work. Rail replacement buses will run |
| • | Due to a lack of available trains, there will be a reduced service between Gospel Oak and Barking. Trains will run every 15 to 30 minutes. The reduced weekend timetable will continue until the new electric trains are introduced. We will continue to run a full timetable on the busier weekday service. Supplementary buses will run between Gospel Oak and Seven Sisters (for South Tottenham) and also between Walthamstow Central and Barking. Please use the Victoria line to connect between the two supplementary bus services |

Due to infrastructure work, on Sunday 25 November there will be no service between: |
| • | Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate (from 06:00), once the Night Service has ended, and between Surrey Quays and New Cross (all day). Use alternative London Overground trains between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Kingsland (until 16:15) or replacement buses between these stations (after 16:15). Rail replacement buses will also run between Dalston Kingsland and New Cross / New Cross Gate (all day). These buses will not serve Shadwell, Wapping or Rotherhithe. Use local buses for these stations |
| • | Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction. Rail replacement buses will run |
| • | Sydenham and Crystal Palace. Use local buses between these stations or Southern services between Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction |

On Sunday 25 November, there will be a reduced service between New Cross Gate and West Croydon. Trains will run every 30 minutes until 20:00. From then, they will run every 30 to 60 minutes. Southern Railway will run a regular Sunday service between these stations all day. |

On Sunday 25 November, there will be no service between Reeves Corner and East Croydon in both directions until 09:00, and no trams to Elmers End until 09:40 due to infrastructure replacement work. Use local buses via any reasonable route. For Elmers End, use local bus 289 from Addiscombe or 356 from Birkbeck. |

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination.
Waterloo – Until 17:00 on Sunday 9 December, Baylis Road will be closed southbound at the junction of Waterloo Road. This is due to electrical connection works. Local bus routes 59, 76 and 341 will be diverted.
Hyde Park – Until 22:00 on Sunday 6 January 2019, large crowds are expected at Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch and Park Lane areas. This is due to the annual Winter Wonderland event which will be taking place at Hyde Park from 10:00 until 22:00 each day, except for Christmas Day. South Carriage Drive will be closed whenever crowds get too large.
Twickenham Rugby Stadium – From 12:00 until 21:30 on Saturday 24 November, large crowds are expected in the Twickenham area. This is due to the rugby match between England and Australia, kicking off at 15:00. England Women will also play Ireland Women at 17:40. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area before and after the game. Roads likely to be affected are the A316 Chertsey Road and all roads leading to Twickenham Station and around the stadium. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the game to assist with crowd control. Diversions will be implemented in the Twickenham area.
Wembley Stadium – From 14:30 until 23:30 on Saturday 24 November, large crowds are expected in the Wembley area. This is due to the football match between Tottenham and Chelsea, kicking off at 17:30. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area before and after the game. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.
Wembley Stadium – From 11:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 25 November, large crowds are expected in the Wembley area. This is due to the EE Wembley Cup, kicking off at 14:00. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area before and after the game. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.
Wembley Stadium – From 17:00 until 23:59 on Wednesday 28 November, large crowds are expected in the Wembley area. This is due to the Champions League match between Tottenham and Inter Milan, kicking off at 20:00. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area before and after the game. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.

Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:
Rotherhithe Tunnel – There are increased restrictions for goods vehicles at Rotherhithe Tunnel. Goods vehicles that exceed these restrictions will be unable to access the tunnel and redirected by our enforcement officers. The maximum vehicle height is 2 metres (or 6’6”) and the weight limit is 2 tonnes. The width restriction is 2 metres (or 6’6”). Use Tower Bridge or Blackwall Tunnel, both of which are outside the Congestion Charging zone. For more information, check our Rotherhithe Tunnel page

Santander Cycles will provide a useful way to navigate the planned closures on the Tube this weekend, but the following docking stations will be out of service: |
| • | Rodney Street, Angel, due to health and safety |
| • | Portugal Street, Holborn, due to building works |
| • | Cranmer Road, Stockwell, due to gasworks |
| • | Notting Hill Gate, due to UKPN works |
| • | Empire Square, The Borough, Bayswater Road due to power failure on Wednesday 28 November |
