Berlioz's The Childhood of Christ

Berlioz's ravishing version of the story of the childhood of Christ, which includes the much-loved The Shepherds' Farewell. Edward Gardner conducts the BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus and the BBC Singers, plus a superb line-up of soloists including Karen Cargill and Matthew Rose.

J. S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio
Saturday 22 December and Friday 11 January
St Luke's Church, Chelsea

Sofi Jeannin conducts the BBC Singers and the Academy of Ancient Music in J. S. Bach'smasterpiece which tells the Christmas story through a feast of sumptuous baroque choral music. Performed in two parts over Christmas and New Year in the glorious surroundings of St Luke's Church in Chelsea.
