Hokusai: The Great Picture Book of Everything

Until 30 Jan 2022

Don’t miss your chance to see 103 of Hokusai’s masterful drawings – depicting everything from ancient stories and animals to scenes from everyday life.

The drawings were originally destined for an illustrated encyclopedia called The Great Picture Book of Everything. However, the book was never made, saving the drawings from being destroyed as part of the woodblock printing process.

Read all about the recently rediscovered works and explore them in more detail in our online gallery.
