Carnaby London - Carnaby lights up with Lumiere London

Lumiere London Launches in Carnaby
Watch Carnaby light up this January with Lumiere London, a free outdoor light festival taking place across the capital for 4 evenings,6.30pm-10.30pm from Thursday 14 - Sunday 17 January

Lumiere London will showcase the capital’s architecture through the installation of artworks in public spaces. This will be the first edition of Lumiere in London and over the 4 evenings more than 20 landmarks across the West End and Kings Cross will offer visitors and Londoners the chance to experience and explore the city in a new way.

Premiering during Lumiere London, one of the most influential and popular artists Julian Opie has created a bespoke double-sided LED monolith piece titled Shaida Walking - the only legacy piece of Lumiere London. Placed on Broadwick Street, the piece will add to the art in the area becoming another piece of permanent art joining the giant lightbulbs and plug and socket on Ganton Street.
