The Big Short - Film Synopsis - Poster - Trailer

America, circa 2005: the media, government and big banks all seem blissfully unaware of the imminent collapse of the global economy. Four men, who are seen as little fish in the competitive world of finance, spot the problem before it occurs and form a potentially lucrative partnership.
Their daring investment takes them on a journey in to the darkest depths of the seedy modern banking underbelly, where no one can be trusted. Will their risk pay-off, allowing them to be the only men standing when the financial bubble bursts?
The Big Short is based on the non-fiction book of the same name, and has been submitted to judges on the 2016 Academy Awards panel.
The cast includes four of Hollywood’s finest Oscar nominated actors: Brad Pitt (By the Sea, Fury), Christian Bale (American Hustle, The Dark Knight Rises), Ryan Gosling (Drive, Only God Forgives) and Steve Carell (Foxcatcher, Minions).
At the helm is director Adam McKay, who is responsible for hits such as Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues(2013), The Other Guys (2010) and Step Brothers (2008).
