Informative walk led by Marilyn Greene. This walk will

The Merry go round of war:
A talk by the Rev'd Stephen Tucker
Thursday 13th Nov, 7:00 for 7:30pm 

Presented in association with the Friends of Burgh House, this illustrated talk about artists working in Hampstead during the the First World War will be given by the Rev'd Stephen Tucker who has been exploring the art, music and literature of the period through the First World War commemoration programme at St John-at-Hampstead. The talk will feature Mark Gertler,

Spanish artist, poet and philosopher Helena Sainz will be returning to Hampstead, where she lived for over 30 years, for her third exhibition at Burgh House. The drawings inStone River encompass the interrelationship between permanence and change.

Ethereal Cyanotypes

Tessa Shaw's latest work inspired by Hampstead Heath is an exploration into the quality of light.

Mari l'Anson
A World of Watercolour
Wednesday 17th - Sunday 28th September 

Mari has exhibited at Burgh House several times since 1988 & looks forward to yet another show. Travels to faraway countries & places closer to home, Highgate & Hampstead feature in this display of traditional watercolours.

18th July - 14th December 2014

To mark the start of the First World War Centenary, this exhibition will look at the effects of the war on Hampstead Village and Heath. It will touch on the work of official war artists from the area and soldiers from Hampstead who fought at the Front.

The exhibition will also examine the important role played by local military hospitals and residents.
The Exhibition will feature two new aquisitions to Hampstead Museum, and origional copy of Blast War Number by Wyndham Lewis and a Nancy Carline oil painting of Richard Carline whose work is featured in the exhibition.

Singing Courses with Patrick Allies

Patrick attended The King's School, Canterbury, where he was a music and academic scholar, and sang in Gloucester Cathedral Choir. He later studied music at King's College London & as a postgraduate at Cambridge, where he was a choral scholar in Jesus College choir.
