In the sumptuous surrounds of this two AA rosette awarded restaurant in Embankment’s 5* Royal Horseguards Hotel, pairs of diners can tuck into five courses of seasonal cuisine (usually £65 each)from a changing menu. Meals can begin with a Fois Gras and cinnamon smoked duck before the fish course of a day-boat monkfish and a main of lamb rump. They will end with a sweet course of poached Yorkshire rhubarb with gin, white chocolate and tarragon ice. The full menu can be paired with a 125ml glass of wine with each course. Customers should note that menu is seasonal and subject to change.

The Merchant

Found in the five-star Royal Horseguards Hotel, One Twenty One Two is a refined restaurant with a distinctive take on international cuisine which has earned it two AA rosettes. It uses locally-sourced ingredients for an array of seasonal dishes, with meals able to be tailored to dietary requirements if necessary. A varied wine list has been carefully chosen to complement the dishes, and in addition to the a la carte menu, guests can tuck into a Sunday roast complete with Champagne and petit fours. The dining area sports red plush seating, chandeliers and oil paintings while the terrace leads onto the hotel’s Whitehall Gardens.
