Spanish folk music, a flurry of skirts, and plenty of stamping and clapping. Sunday evenings will be spiced up by some live flamenco entertainment and a set menu of diverse Spanish flavours (usually £45 per person). After a Cava reception, guests can tuck into eight tapas dishes ranging from Andalusian crispy squid with alioli to ham croquettes, and ending with a Spanish cheese platter. Diners will then become dancers as they watch the Flamenco show in action, and are given the chance to join in.
The Merchant
Inspired by the rich culture and carnival spirit of Spain, Salvador and Amanda’s menu flaunts Iberian charm and a host of flavours at two central locations: Covent Garden and Bloomsbury. The restaurants’ russet decor, candelabras and velvet curtains are complemented by the atmospheric glow from orange lights. Bite-sized pleasure comes in the shape of tapas dishes, and regular events include sangria evenings and Flamenco nights filled with stirring guitar music and passionate dancing.
