Transport for London - Weekend travel information - 17/18 October 2015

weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 17/18 October. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Underground


We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.

Bakerloo line
On Sunday, trains will not run between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone. This is due to Network Rail track improvement work.

Circle line
Trains will not run between Edgware Road and Tower Hill, via King's Cross St. Pancras. This is due to track replacement work at Euston Square and Farringdon, as well as Crossrail work at Liverpool Street.

District line
There will be no service between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington and Earl's Court/Kensington (Olympia). This is due to track replacement work at Euston Square and Farringdon, as well as Crossrail work at Liverpool Street.

Hammersmith & City line
Trains will not run between Edgware Road and Barking. This is due to track replacement work at Euston Square and Farringdon, as well as Crossrail work at Liverpool Street.

Metropolitan line
There will be no service between Baker Street and Aldgate. This is due to track replacement work at Euston Square and Farringdon, as well as Crossrail work at Liverpool Street.




London Overground


On Sunday, trains will not run between the following stations:
 Gospel Oak and Barking (to enable preparatory work for line electrification)
 Watford Junction and Queen’s Park (to enable Network Rail track work)





London Trams


There will be no service between Wimbledon and Therapia Lane. This is due to track renewal work at Kingston Road and platform extension work at Wimbledon.

On Saturday, Line 4 trams will not run. This is to enable track replacement and drainage works.

There will be no service between Wimbledon and Dundonald Road until the end of this month, while we construct an additional platform at Wimbledon.





Docklands Light Railway


There will be no service between Canning Town and Stratford International, due to track improvement work.

Buses


Westminster - Until summer 2016, Parliament Square and Westminster Bridge will have various lane closures and restrictions in place. This is due to Cycle Superhighway works. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination. For more information, please click here

Twickenham - From 13:00 on Saturday and Sunday, certain roads will be closed, including the A316 Chertsey Road between London Road and Hospital Bridge Road. This is due to Rugby World Cup 2015. Roads will be re-opened when it is safe to do so after each match has finished. Increased traffic in the area is expected for up to three hours following the end of the matches. Buses in the area will be diverted or stop short of their normal destination. For more information, please click here

Kennington - The A3 Kennington Park Road will be closed southbound on Sunday from 21:00 until 05:00 on Monday. It will also be closed northbound between the same times each night, between Monday 19 and Wednesday 28 October. This is due to road resurfacing works. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be diverted or stop short of their normal destination.

Neasden - Until mid-December, there are some changes on the A406 North Circular Road. There are various overnight closures and lane restrictions between Staples Corner and Harrow Road. Daytime lane restrictions are also in place between Brentfield Road and Neasden Lane, in both directions. This is due to Road Modernisation works. Roads in and around Neasden and Wembley are busier than usual and delays are expected between Hanger Lane and Brent Cross. Stockwell - The A203 Stockwell Road at the junction of South Lambeth Road and Clapham Road has lane restrictions in place until late August 2016. This is due to junction remodelling works. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination.

Romford - From 10:00 on Monday until late January 2016, there will be lane restrictions westbound on the A12 Eastern Avenue West, between Mawney Road and Whalebone Lane North. This is due to improvement works. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be diverted or stop short of their normal destination.
