Happy Easter from ZSL! We're counting down the days until we can re-open our gates again and welcome you back into the Zoos. A mammoth egg hunt This week, zookeepers treated four-year old elephant, Elizabeth to an unusual egg-hunt by hiding giant watermelons, decorated with edible paint. Melons are Elizabeth's equivalent of a choclate treat so you can imagine how happy she was when she cracked them open and discovered what was inside.  WATCH THE VIDEO

We're all going on an egg hunt Come on a treasure hunt around ZSL London Zoo with presenter Jodie and discover some of  the surprising animals that do and don’t lay eggs. But you'll have to put your best detective hat on, as you need to guess which animal we'll be heading to next.  JOIN THE HUNT Make a papier-mâché egg with Andy We’ve got a cracking project for you and the kids to do over the Easter weekend. All you’ll need is a balloon, a paintbrush, some old newspaper, flour, water, bowls and a protected work surface and London Zoo’s Andy will show your little ones how to create your very own easter egg. Can you find the eggs? The ZSL Easter bunny has been busy hiding four zoo eggs on our online shop.
