Weekend travel information

If you are out and about this weekend, please note that there are planned works taking place on certain parts of the network.

Plan ahead and check before you travel. Our TfL Go app can help you plan your journey and show you the quieter times . It provides live information on how busy Tube stations are during the day as well as providing details of Covid-19 vaccination centres.

The quieter times currently are:

  • Between 08:15 and 16:00 and after 17:30 on weekdays
  • Before noon and after 18:00 on weekends

Customers must wear a face covering on our services and in stations for the duration of their journey unless they are exempt, and may be refused entry or asked to leave for not doing so. This includes the Tube, bus, tram, DLR, London Overground and TfL Rail networks, Dial a Ride services, the Emirates Air Line and the Woolwich ferry.

TfL also expects and recommends the continued use of face coverings in taxis and private hire vehicles by both drivers and passengers unless they are exempt.

We are very grateful to the overwhelming majority of customers who have been complying with this requirement.

Please keep washing or sanitising your hands to help everyone stay safe. You can find out more about what we are doing to keep our services clean.

Southern Rail and Thameslink services to Gatwick and Brighton

Network Rail will be carrying out urgent engineering work which will severely restrict services on the line between Victoria and Brighton/Sussex coast on Sunday until approximately 14:00. This will also affect services to/from Gatwick Airport.

If you can travel after 14:00, you will have an easier journey. Please visit the National Rail website or the Southern website for more information and to plan an alternative route.
