Say hello to Nandi
We're so excited to have welcomed a baby rhino to Whipsnade Zoo. Arriving at 4am on Saturday morning, 'Nandi' (Sweet One) was born to mum Tuli and dad Sizzle. Both mum and calf are doing well.
According to the IUCN Red List for Threatened Species, there are approximately 10,000 Southern white rhinos left in the wild, and their numbers are decreasing due to poaching, habitat loss, introduction of invasive species and climate change.

A weighting game at the Zoos
This week, keepers at both London and Whipsnade Zoo have had the job of coaxing thousands of animals onto the scales for the annual weigh in.

As part of their regular check ups, all creatures great and small have had their vital statistics recorded as a way of keeping track of their health and wellbeing.

Take a look at our videos below to see our animals jumping on the scales!
