Illuminated River celebrate all bridges being lit with Totally Thames events

Spanning 9 bridges between London & Lambeth Bridges, Illuminated River is the world's longest art installation. Check out our programme of Illuminated River events as part of Totally Thames this September, including a One Night Light Show by the installation's artist Leo Villereal, boat trips, walking tours and more.

If you do go visit any Illuminated River events or bridges, make sure to take a snap and enter it into Thames Lens where we have a new category dedicated to the project and a host of amazing prizes
Rivers of the World Exhibitions
Outside Tate Modern | National Maritime Museum | All September
We have two Rivers of the World exhibitions taking place in London!
Head to National Maritime Museum to see work by children at schools in Greenwich & their partner school in Ghana. And head outside Tate Modern from today to see Rivers of the World artwork from children across the UK and the World.

Tide Changers Events
Tide Changers: Tea from the Thames | St Paul's Cathedral | Fri 3 - Sun 5 Sep
The tea from the Thames project features a ceramic tea set and water filter made form Thames river clay and used to make a cup of tea from the river. Head to Hands on History @ St Paul's Cathedral to see the tea pot and a film about the project
Tide Changers: In the Offing, The Sea & Sky were Welded | Online & aboard Uber Boat by Thames Clippers | Various Dates
Through Sonam Tobgyal's series of Solargraphs, this project conveys this idea of transition capturing locations both peaceful and developing along the Thames.
Tide Changers: Lilith | SET Woolwich | Sat 25 - Thu 30 Sep
Experience an audiovisual installation by Jessie Russel Donn featuring choral singers, film, flower pressing projections exploring life, death and the Thames in Woolwich
The Islanders Exhibition & Events
Various Dates & Locations
Head to the Islanders Exhibition in Thames Barrier Park to see the story of Silvertown and North Woolwich through the words of those who lived, worked and grew up there. We also have a handful of amazing walks and talks to complement this exhibition.
