Saving treasures for everyone |
Our collection gets bigger every day. An Emily Brontë notebook of poetry, believed lost, is just one of the incredible literary works we’ll be adding to it, thanks to a successful campaign led by Friends of the National Libraries to save a treasure trove of original manuscripts and books for the nation. |

Have you ever wondered who looks after our collection? Or what it’s like to care for it? Conservation team leader Heather Murphy tells us all about their current projects, her favourite item in the collection, and a little something called ‘archive fever’. |

Transporting you back in time |
There’s only a few more weeks to catch our ★★★★★ exhibition, Elizabeth and Mary. Can’t make it? We’ll bring the exhibition to you. Curator Andrea Clarke will take you on a digital tour, into a dangerous world of plots, espionage and treachery, without even stepping out of your front door. |

Visiting an exhibition is just one way to explore our collection. We’ve got a range of courses inspired by our exhibitions and collections. Start your new year on the right foot with sessions to help develop your writing skills, pick up a language or improve your wellbeing. |
