Nicholas Hawksmoor: Methodical Imaginings

The British baroque architect Nicholas Hawksmoor built a series of important London churches during the early part of the 18th century and this exhibition focuses on seven of these. The key distinguishing features of Hawksmoor’s churches are their spires, each designed with different qualities, which rose throughout the city and became urban markers. Curated by Mohsen Mostafavi, photography by Hélène Binet.

Blumenfeld Studio: New York, 1941–1960

Berlin-born Erwin Blumenfeld was one of the most influential photographers of the twentieth century. This exhibition celebrates the output of his New York studio during the Second World War and post-war boom years, including fashion photography, advertising campaigns, personality portraits, ‘war effort’ propaganda posters and experimental work.
