All of our Christmases have come at once. Luckily it's at Christmas time.
Stuck for a gift idea?
Do you know someone who might enjoy some Wine Tasting? Got a family member who keeps promising to learn Spanish? Or was it Italian? Not sure? Let them choose by getting them a voucher to put towards whatever course or event that they'd like.
Got your tickets yet? Hopefully you'll have already heard about the very special festive offering we're serving up this Christmas.
We're giving you the chance to get into the holiday spirit, but without sitting through the same old songs and carols. We'll be adding a fresh flavour to festive classics with three very special concerts in December. From jazz to classical, renowned musical directors Jennifer Whyte and Ben Ferguson have pulled together some of the season’s top pieces into an irresistible ensemble.
The concerts will feature world-first performances of specially-commissioned arrangements of some festive favourites, well-known numbers, and original works by Whyte, the composer-in-residence, all performed by an elite orchestra and singers Alex Young, Charlotte Vaughan, Michael Conway and Toby Hine. It promises to be a musical celebration with a twist, to get you in the mood for the holiday season.
BISHOPSGATE BALLROOM The last ballroom dance of the year
Seasonal slow waltz? Festive foxtrot? Jingle bell jive? We won't be going snowverboard with things Christmassy but there may be a hint of yuletide for the final Bishopsgate Ballroom of 2016 as we (quick)step into Christmas.
Through our historical relationship with St Botolph's-without-Bishopsgate, each year we hold a traditional service with readings and Lessons and carol singing before Christmas. This year it will be taking place on Monday 12th December at 12 midday and will have readings and singing from our staff, trustees and those connected to the Institute and St Botolph's, as well as singing of traditional carols for everyone.
There's no booking involved so, if you wish to join us, just come along before midday and remember to be in fine voice. All are welcome.
The joint is jumperin'
It's the one where the festive knitwear gets an airing...
At the last Bishopsgate Swing of the year you are invited to throw on your finest Christmas jumper for a festive night of swinging out in the Great Hall.
Take the beginner taster class at the start of the night and then enjoy the sounds of the vintage DJs and guest live band Oliver’s Dime Notes.
