Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 3-4 December. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Overground


On Sunday, there will be no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, for Network Rail track work. 

There is no service between Gospel Oak and Barking until February 2017. This is while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018. For more information, please click here

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination: 

A1 Holloway Road - From 21:30 tomorrow, Friday, until 04:30 on Monday, Holloway Road will be closed in both directions between Fairbridge Road and Wedmore Gardens. This is while we carry out work to replace Upper Holloway Bridge. For full details, visit tfl.gov.uk/upper-holloway-bridge 

Central London - From 08:00 on Saturday until 20:00 on Sunday, Oxford Street will be closed in both directions between Vere Street and Davies Street. This is for Thames Water works. 

Twickenham - From midday until 19:00 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. This is for an event. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the event. 

Central London - From Monday until Saturday, various demonstrations will be taking place in the Parliament Square area. Roads in the area may be closed.

The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:

 Kingsway, for repair works
 South Quay West, Wansey Street, Cardinal Place and Bourne Street, for building works
