Sought after by kings, queens, popes and cardinals, English medieval embroideries, frequently referred to as ‘Opus Anglicanum’ (English work), enjoyed an international reputation for their quality and luxuriousness. Their complex imagery, ambitious scale and beautiful intricacy made them prized by royalty across four centuries. Eat, drink and be crafty this Christmas at the V&A Museum of Childhood. All levels are welcome to this evening workshop as you chop, stick, sew and stitch together some inspired Christmas decorations while enjoying festive food and drink with friends.
