Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 10-11 December. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Overground


There is no service between Gospel Oak and Barking until February 2017. This is while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018. For more information, please click here

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination: 

Central London - Until 17:30 on Saturday, various demonstrations will be taking place in the Parliament Square area. Roads in the area may be closed. 

Twickenham - From 11:00 until 18:00 today, Thursday, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. This is for an event. 

Central London - Between 10:30 and 11:30 on Saturday, Whitehall will be closed between Parliament Square and Horse Guards Avenue, for an event. 

Central London - From 10:30 until 17:00 on Sunday, roads in the area will be closed at various times, including Belgrave Square, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square. This is for a march. 

Central London - From 20:30 on Monday until 05:00 on Tuesday, and between the same times on Tuesday/Wednesday and Wednesday/Thursday, there will be lane restrictions in both directions on Bridge Street. This is while new traffic islands are installed in connection with Cycle Superhighways.

Roads


Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

Santander Cycles


The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:
 Broadwick Street, for utility works
 Kingsway, for repair works
 South Quay West, Wansey Street, Cardinal Place and Bourne Street, for building works
