ZSL - London Zoo - What animal sleeps for 21 hours?

It's big cat month! This month we're celebrating our beautiful big cats and we'd love you to get to know them a little better. At ZSL London Zoo, our four majestic lions, Bhanu, Rubi, Heidi and Indi, each have their own unique personalises, but who's the boldest and who has the loudest roar? Meet our lions.  Lions are full of hidden secrets. Meet Maui At just over two weeks old, Maui, named after an island in Hawaii, is already busy exploring and loves to swim! When he gets too tired he sits and holds onto mum Lara’s back and she helps him swim around the pool! MORE PUP PICTURES

Bye-bye Malcolm  Malcolm, the first aye aye (a nocturnal primate from Madagascar) to be born at ZSL London Zoo, arrived safely in his new home at Bristol Zoo where he will play an important role in the international breeding programme.   WATCH HIS DEPARTURE
