Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew - Autumnal activities in the Gardens 🍂

Autumn is one of the best times visit Kew Gardens, as many of our trees are their most colourful. Come to Kew and discover seven ways to make the most of the changing of the seasons.
1. Take a walk through the Arboretum

Wrap up warm and discover our vast collection of 14,000 trees. Did you know that some of our oldest trees date back to the 18th century?
2. Have a day out at Autumn Antics (19 October – 3 November)

Enjoy comedy performances and storytelling this half term at our mini fringe festival. The Gardens will come alive with the stories, myths, legends and history of plant and fungi names.
3. Take your little ones to the Children's Garden

4. Explore the new Agius Evolution Garden

It's never to late to master a new skill or simply try something different. Discover a range of courses and learning activities for adults, from photography and horticulture to botanical illustration and more.
6. Enjoy half term at Wakehurst (26 October – 3 November)

Explore Wakehurst's beautiful woodlands this autumn. Go on an adventure through our wild botanic garden with an Explorer Rucksack, let off steam on our log trail, and get set for a cookery workshop and storytelling.

Chihuly: Reflections on nature

It's your last chance to see our Gardens and glasshouses transformed into a contemporary outdoor gallery space as renowned artist, Dale Chihuly, returns to Kew with an exhibition which is the perfect marriage of art, science and nature. Supported by DS Automobiles.
Chihuly Nights
Until 26 October
See Chihuly's artworks in a whole new light through our nighttime experience. Relax as you stroll around after dark – both out in the Gardens and inside some of the glasshouses and galleries – and enjoy a rotating line up of live musicians as you soak up the atmosphere.
