This week kicks off with the wonderful annual Totally Thames festival, celebrating our much-loved river with a range of fun events, both online and in person (socially distanced of course!). We’re delighted to see the British Library and Saatchi Gallery reopening their doors to the public, while aspiring chefs take note of the newly reopened Cookery School with an array of classes. Finally – test your London knowledge and fight for the opportunity to be crowned the Ultimate Londoner with a free virtual quiz!

What: Get your apron and chef’s hat at the ready because the Cookery School kitchens are reopening this week and they can’t wait to welcome visitors back. From afternoon tea to pie making and knife skills to Italian, Mexican and Middle Eastern cooking – all with a strong focus on sustainability - you are sure to find a class to tantalise your taste buds. What: The British Library, founded in 1753 and containing one of the world’s largest collections of books (170 million items from almost every language!) is excited to be reopening this week, with their brand new exhibition Hebrew Manuscripts: Journeys of the Written Word. It will trace the history, culture and traditions of Jewish people through the ages, as far back as the 10th century. Visits must be booked in advance. What: Saatchi Gallery is reopening to the public with London Grads Now showcasing works by graduate students from London’s leading fine art schools, including: Royal College of Art; UCL: Slade School of Art; Goldsmiths: University of London and many more. Following the unprecedented cancellation of graduation shows across London, this exhibition – featuring 150 artists and over 200 works - will enable graduates to show their work in international-quality gallery spaces.
