The first major exhibition showcasing the UK’s first female press photographer opens today at the Museum of London Docklands. From First World War soldiers to Suffragette processions, view life in London at the start of the 20th century through the lens of Christina Broom.

     

Curator Anna Sparham introduces the woman whose bold pioneering spirit took her into the city to capture thousands of images, gaining unprecedented access to soldiers, Suffragettes and even royalty.


  
A new publication

The first book of Christina Broom's works has been published to coincide with the exhibition (£20) and a new range of prints from the exhibition is available onlineand in the museum shop.
