A World of Fragile Parts is a special project for the Applied Arts Pavilion that has been jointly developed as part of a collaboration between La Biennale di Venezia and the V&A. It looks at the threats faced by global heritage sites and how the production of copies can aid in the preservation of cultural artefacts. Read more

The Jameel Prize is an international award for contemporary art and design inspired by Islamic tradition. Its aim is to explore the relationship between Islamic traditions of art, craft and design and contemporary work as part of a wider debate about Islamic culture and its role today. Eleven artists and designers have been shortlisted for this year’s prize, which is awarded every two years. The winner will be announced on 7 June 2016. Read more
