Join Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone as they add an Absolutely
Fabulous sparkle to the Pride Parade in London 2016 with Stoli® Vodka
Absolutely Fabulous is back with a bang! Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as Edina Monsoon
and Patsy Stone will be making an exclusive appearance to ensure Pride 2016 gets off to an
electric start! The nation’s favourite fashion icons will be launching the Absolutely Fabulous in
association with Stoli float, created to celebrate the release of Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie
(In cinemas 1st July), which is set to be a highlight of this year’s event.
Created in partnership between Stoli and Fox Searchlight Pictures, the float will embody all the
glitz, glamour and style associated with the iconic series and its much-loved cast. The float will
party its way through central London on 25 June in celebration of the LGBT community, as part
of the largest UK Pride event which attracts over 1,000,000 visitors each year.
Stoli is delighted to be continuing their relationship with Sink The Pink, the infamous East
London performance collective and LGBT movement who will add their unique edge to the float
via a troupe of Ab Fab inspired performers. Prepare to be dazzled as a whole host of Patsy and
Eddie lookalikes recreate iconic looks from across the years, whilst performing to a soundtrack
mixed from behind a pair of giant red lips by iconic LGBT-scene DJ Jodie Harsh, who also has a
cameo appearance in the film.
Looking for an after party?
Those that work up a thirst whilst watching the parade can head to Freedom Bar in Soho, the
exclusive Stoli Ab Fab hub, to try out a series of specially created Stoli cocktails inspired by the
movie. Cocktails include the ‘Sweetie Darling’, ‘The Bombshell’ and the classic ‘Stoli Boli’.
Set for release on the 1 July 2016, the Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie follows Edina Monsoon
and Patsy Stone (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) who are still oozing glitz and glamour,
living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around
London’s trendiest hotspots. But when they accidentally push Kate Moss into the river Thames at
an uber fashionable launch party, Eddy and Patsy become entangled in a media storm
surrounding the supermodel’s untimely demise and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi.
Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch
a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!
