Transport for London - Weekend travel information - 1st - 2nd April 2017

Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 1-2 April. There are no planned works on London Underground, and most of the network will be open with services running as normal. Please check if any of the following affect you. 

Advance Easter travel information
Planned improvement work will take place on the Tube and rail networks between Friday 14 April and Monday 17 April. An alternative way to get around London this Easter is via our extensive bus network. To plan ahead, visit tfl.gov.uk/easter-travel or nationalrail.co.uk/easter





London Overground


Tonight, Thursday, trains will not run between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:45 due to Network Rail track work. 

All weekend there will be no service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon for Network Rail track work. 

On Saturday, trains will not run until 09:15 between Highbury & Islington and New Cross/New Cross Gate/Clapham Junction, due to track work.

On Sunday, there will be no service between the following stations:
Highbury & Islington and New Cross/New Cross Gate/Clapham Junction until 11:15, due to track work
Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work

DLR


There will be no service between Bow Church and Stratford all weekend. This is for Crossrail construction work at Pudding Mill Lane.





TfL Rail


On Sunday, trains will not run between Ilford and Brentwood until 09:00. After 09:00, trains will not run between Chadwell Heath and Brentwood. 

There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines.

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination: 

Hanger Lane - Various lane restrictions are in place between 22:00 and 05:00 each night until early June in all directions at the Hanger Lane gyratory. This is for resurfacing works. 

Central London - From 18:00 until 20:00 tomorrow, Friday, there will be delays to traffic on Whitehall. This is for a march. 

Victoria - From 21:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday, the junctions of Bressenden Place and Buckingham Palace Road will be closed. This is for resurfacing works. Additionally, the junction will be closed from 21:00 until 05:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and there will be lane restrictions on Bressenden Place during the day. 

Hounslow - From 11:00 until 18:00 on Sunday, there will be delays and road closures in the area, including on Wellington Road South northbound, Bath Road eastbound from the A4, and Staines Road eastbound from Green Lane. This is for a procession. 

West London - On Sunday, the annual Boat Race will take place on the River Thames between Putney Bridge and Chiswick Bridge. Between midday and 19:00, delays are expected in the areas surrounding Putney, Hammersmith and Chiswick Bridges. 

Wembley - From 11:30 until 18:30 on Sunday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to a sporting event. 

Camden - From 09:30 on Tuesday until 16:30 on Wednesday, there will be lane restrictions on Camden Road at the junction of St Pancras Way. This is for utility works.

Roads


Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:
