Peer into a model of a demolished tower block from east London and listen to the voices of true east-enders as they tell stories of their childhood in this powerful multi-media exhibition featuring photographs by artist Tom Hunter.

NEW INSTALLATION
Rachel Whiteread's Place (Village)

Rachel Whiteread’s Place (Village) (2006-2008) is now on permanent display at the Museum. This sculptural work features around 150 vintage dolls' houses collected by Whiteread over 20 years. The houses, sit on stepped platforms, evoking a sprawling hillside 'community'. Lit from within, but deserted, their emptiness evokes haunting memories and melancholy.

Michael Morpurgo: 
A Lifetime in Stories

The life and exceptional writing power of one of Britain’s best-loved storytellers, Michael Morpurgo, will be celebrated in a new exhibition this summer. Joey, the original life-size West End horse puppet from the National Theatre’s award-winning stage adaptation of War Horse, will be on display next to original artwork and manuscripts of Morpurgo's work.
