What's on in May?
We are kicking off our City Now City Future season in style with a free late launch event on the 19 May exploring what it means to be a Londoner, plus a range of new displays and commissions across the Museum of London.

At the Museum of London Docklands, we bring you Archaeology of the tunnel, a fascinating talk exploring the discoveries featured in our free exhibition Tunnel: The Archaeology of Crossrail.

There's plenty for our younger visitors to enjoy too. Join us for our Toddler takeover festivaland free family events during half term.
City Now City Future: May highlights

Join us for a free evening of performances, workshops, films and music celebrating London as one of the most diverse cities in the world. Create your own statement posters with Rabbits Road Press, taste culinary delights from Mazi Mas roaming restaurant, explore the history and art of barbering with CUT Festival and more. Plus there's a music programme curated by Reprezent 107.3FM.
Magnum live lab in conversation

We've collaborated with the legendary photographic agency, Magnum, to commission three photographers to capture contemporary Clerkenwell over a two week period. Join the photographers, Olivia Arthur, Mark Power and Carl De Keyzer, for a panel discussion about the project.
Lady Lucy's portrait studio

As part of our display Lady Lucy: Portraits for Services, Gifts and Favours, Lady Lucy will be inviting visitors to have their portrait painted at the museum in exchange for a service, gift or favour that will be passed along to another visitor. Portrait sittings are free but must be booked in advance.
Clerkenwell walks

We've partnered up with Clerkenwell Design Week to bring you three, free guided walks exploring the past, present and future of the area known for its creativity and maker communities. Walks are free but places should be booked in advance.

Archaeology of the tunnel

Find out more about the objects on display in Tunnel: The Archaeology of Crossrail during this talk with leading archaeologists from Crossrail and MOLA. Hear first-hand what it is like to be involved in the Crossrail project, the role archaeology plays in modern construction and discover what the future holds for the objects that have been discovered.
Jazz and blues bus tour

Hop aboard a vintage Routemaster and travel in style around the city, uncovering the secret sights of London's jazz and blues history. Hear about the arrival of jazz from the USA to London and explore local music scenes, including the clubs, fan societies and men and women that shaped the jazz scene.

Our Great Fire family walks are back! Visit the sites struck by the Great Fire of London and take part in mini challenges as a family during this fun and interactive walk.
