Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 8-9 April. There are no planned works on London Underground, and most of the network will be open with services running as normal. Please check if any of the following affect you.

On Sunday, there will be no service between Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work.

From Saturday until Monday 17 April, Trams will not run between East Croydon and Reeves Corner. During this time, there will also be no service from Elmers End after 19:30 on weekdays, after 18:30 on Saturdays and on Good Friday, and all day on Sundays and on Easter Monday. Services will resume on Tuesday 18 April. |

All weekend, trains will not run on the entire line. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.
There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines.

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:
Central London - From 07:00 until 12:30 tomorrow, Friday, the following roads will be closed: Abingdon Street, St Margaret's Street, Parliament Square, Whitehall, and Bridge Street. This is for a ceremonial event.
Central London - From 05:00 on Saturday until 19:00 on Sunday, Bridge Street will be closed in both directions between Parliament Square and Victoria Embankment. This is for a crane operation.
Twickenham - From 10:30 until 19:30 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. This is for an event. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the event.
Wembley - From 13:30 until 20:30 on Saturday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to a sporting event.
Southall - From 09:00 until 18:00 on Sunday, there will be road closures in the area, including King Street, The Green, South Road, High Street, Uxbridge Road, Green Drive and Park Avenue. This is for a procession.
Southwark - From approximately 07:00 until 16:00 on Monday, extensive road closures will be in place and there will be delays to traffic in the Southwark and Westminster areas, particularly around Southwark Cathedral. Some bus routes will also be diverted. This is due to a ceremonial event. Please check before you travel.
