As part of our inaugural Christmas concert on Thursday 7 December at St Columba's Church in Knightsbridge, we are pleased to announce that we will be presenting a new musical-dramatic re-telling of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol with music by Will Todd.
Using Dickens's original text, abridged and dramatised by playwright David Simpatico, and interspersed with traditional Christmas carols, this semi-staged performance directed by Martin Duncan will use an actor in the speaking role of Dickens/Scrooge, eight principal singers from Opera Holland Park singing all other roles, and three musicians.
The concert will also feature traditional and sacred music, providing an extraordinarily evocative and unique yuletide evening.
