BBC Audience - Join your favourite CBeebies stars in a magical adaptation of The Snow Queen

Cbeebies' The Snow Queen
It's that time of year again; applications for tickets to the recording of the CBeebies Christmas Show are now open for one week only.

This year's CBeebies Christmas Show will be Cbeebies' The Snow Queen, and we're giving you and your family a chance to be in the audience to watch the show being recorded!

The show will be a stage musical adaptation of one of the most famous winter fairytales. Your favourite CBeebies stars will bring to life Hans Christian Andersen's iconic story in a show full of adventure, comedy, and music. We will follow the perilous quest by a brave village girl called Gerda as she journeys to the frozen North to rescue her best friend Kai from the clutches of the Snow Queen.

Dates:
Friday 3 November - 5pm (dress rehearsal)
Saturday 4 November - 1pm and 4.30pm (main performances)

Venue: Curve Theatre, Leicester

Tickets will be allocated via random draw with 50% of tickets going to Leicestershire and neighbouring regions (please check the website for full postcode list) and the remaining 50% going to the rest of the UK.

You can register at any time until 11am on Tuesday 17 October 2017.

You can apply for a maximum of six tickets and successful applicants will receive e-tickets by Friday 20 October. Tickets are required for every member of your group, including all children, adults and babes in arms.

The performances of CBeebies' The Snow Queen will be filmed for television, to be broadcast as a highlight of this year's CBeebies Christmas schedule in December 2017.

Because this is a television recording rather than a standard theatre performance, we need to make it clear that the show may be of a stop-start nature. Some scenes may need to be paused or repeated and children attending will be asked to sit and participate in the recording for the duration.

This particular story also contains elements of jeopardy and mild peril, with characters and situations that very small children could find scary. The show is therefore recommended for children aged 4 and upwards.

Parents of younger children are welcome to apply but please consider whether the performance is really suitable for your child. It is extremely unlikely that anyone would be asked to leave the recording, but the production team does reserve the right to remove audience members who are causing a significant disruption to the recording.

Having an e-ticket does not guarantee a specific seat. E-tickets must be traded for a seat allocation on the day. Please be aware, all e-ticket holders will be accommodated in either the main theatre or our special screening studio. We want to ensure that all available seats in the main theatre are filled and because not everybody turns up on the day, we must issue more tickets than available seats in the main theatre.

Don't worry though! Overspill e-ticket holders will still be able to enjoy a special live feed of the show in our screening studio along with access to the Cbeebies Snow Queen Winter Festival event being held in the theatre on those days.

Seats in the theatre will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so e-ticket holders are advised to arrive early during the ticket exchange to secure their seats.

Please note: tickets are for families or groups only - attendance is not permitted for adults without children. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you or your child has access requirements that will affect your ability to queue, please speak to one of our studio audience team on the day, who will be happy to help you.

Please bear in mind that all e-ticket holders must make their own travel arrangements to the venue in Leicester.
