Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 3-4 March, and also the following week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

All weekend there is no service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield due to overhead line work and track maintenance. Please use the Central line for travel between Liverpool Street and Newbury Park.

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:
South London - Until 18:00 on Thursday 22 March, Lewisham High Street at the junction of Limes Grove is closed to facilitate bus shelter works.
Central London - Until 20:00 on Sunday 24 April Commercial Road (Eastbound) between New Road and Sidney Street will have lane closures and temporary traffic lights to facilitate gas mains replacement works. New Road is closed southbound until 18th March.
Wembley - From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 3 March roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is for an event.
Central London - Until mid-March, London Bridge will be closed northbound on weekdays only, while Cadent (formerly National Grid Gas) carry out emergency gas works on nearby Gracechurch Street. This restriction does not apply to local buses, taxis, cycles and pedestrians. Please use Blackfriars Bridge or Tower Bridge to cross the river.
Central London - Tooley Street has also been temporarily reopened to two-way traffic until mid-March 2018 to help minimise impact on the road network while these gas works are in place. However, Tooley Street will be closed to eastbound traffic from 05:00 until 12:30 on Sunday 4 March due to an event.
Central London - From 05:00 until 15:00 on Sunday 4 March, there will be extensive closures on the following roads: Tower Bridge, The Highway, Limehouse Link Tunnel, Aspen Way and East India Dock Tunnel westbound, Jamaica Road eastbound, Salter Road, Redriff Road, Evelyn Street, Creek Road, the Greenwich one-way system and Lower Road. Central London - From 11:30 until 15:30 on Sunday 4 March, there will be road closures on Millbank, Trafalgar Square via Parliament Square and Whitehall. This is due to a march.

Reminder to drivers
Rotherhithe Tunnel - If you travel through the Rotherhithe Tunnel, you may not be aware that vehicles more than two metres or six foot six inches wide are not permitted. This is to ensure safety and reduce the risk of collisions. Drivers restricted from using the tunnel should use Tower Bridge or the Blackwall Tunnel - both of which are outside of the Congestion Charge. Visit tfl.gov.uk/rotherhithe-tunnel for more.
