Transport for London - Weekend travel information - 24-25 March 2018

Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 24-25 March, and also the following week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Underground


Due to line modernisation work, all weekend there will be:


Circle line
No service on the entire line

District line
No service between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington

Hammersmith & City line
No service between Moorgate and Hammersmith

Metropolitan line
No service between Aldgate and Wembley Park

London Overground


There will be no service on:
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March between:
Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters), due to Network Rail infrastructure work
Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work
Sunday 25 March between:
Liverpool Street and Walthamstow Central, due to Network Rail infrastructure work
South Tottenham and Barking until 12:30, due to Network Rail track work
On Saturday 24 March, trains will not stop at:
Cambridge Heath station, due to Network Rail infrastructure work
London Fields station, due to Network Rail infrastructure work

TfL Rail


This weekend there is no service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield, due to overhead line renewals and track renewal.

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:

West London - From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 24 March, there will be short traffic holds and restrictions between Putney Bridge and Chiswick Bridge. Hammersmith Bridge will be closed between 16:00 and 18:00. The following bus routes will be stopping either side of Hammersmith Bridge: 33, 72, 209, 419 and 485. This is for the Cancer Research Boat Race.

Central London - From 02:30 until 18:00 on Sunday 25 March, there will be phased road closures on the following roads: Pall Mall East, Holborn and Kingsway in the north, Tower Hill in the east, Victoria Embankment in the south, and Pall Mall and Whitehall in the west. Waterloo Bridge, will be closed, however traffic of a suitable height still able to use the Strand Underpass, except between 08:50 and 11:30. London Bridge will also be closed northbound to all traffic between 07:00 and 14:30. All roads should reopen by 15:15 except Pall Mall East and Whitehall, which will reopen by 18:00. This is due to a half marathon.

Hounslow - From 11:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 25 March, there will be road closures and traffic holds on the following roads: Hibernia Road, Staines Road, Wellington Road North, Bath Road, Martindale Road, Wellington Road South northbound, Bath Road eastbound from the A4, and Staines Road eastbound from Green Lanes. This is for a procession.

Wembley - From 17:00 until 23:59 on Tuesday 27 March, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is for an event.

Roads

The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:
Foley Street, Bourne Street, Cardinal Place and Portugal Street for building works
Montgomery Square for site redevelopment
Rodney Street due to works
Serpentine Car Park due to relocation
Clifford Street due to street works
Hansard Mews due to emergency power works
Flood Street due to road widening
Disraeli Road due to utility works (Sunday only)
