Final screening in the feminist film season, Lives Unwritten: Women and Domestic Work on Film at the Geffrye Museum of the Home.

This Saturday, the screening of the fantastic Brazilian comedy-drama, The Second Mother, from female director Anna Muylaert. The outstanding film explores Brazilian society and considers what it means to be a mother. It is an astute, moving and empathetic portrayal of the cyclical nature of life for many working women.

The screening takes place at 2.30pm on Saturday 27th April in the Geffrye Museum's beautiful Georgian Room and will be accompanied by a fascinating panel discussion with Dr Mar Diestro-Dรณpido (BFI Sight & Sound Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama) and Dr Akshi Singh (Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of History, at Queen Mary, University of London).
