April is a busy month, with events, installations, screenings and workshops taking place across the site. Enjoy trying out experimental game design from around the world in Now Play This 2019, view over 800 images in the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition, catch the final few weeks of Hanna Moon and Joyce Ng's English As A Second Language and explore creative responses to climate change in our two-week Earth Day Season.
Tickets for Somerset House Summer Series are selling fast and two concerts are already sold out, so we recommend booking your essential July gig going now. And the Somerset House Terrace with San Miguel is now open, bringing a lively, warm and inviting Spanish atmosphere to the River Terrace.

Part of the city-wide London Games FestivalNow Play This 2019 returns with its biggest ever edition, featuring the latest in hands-on, experimental game design from around the world for all ages to enjoy. Learn more about the creative process behind some of the most inventive and thought-provoking games of today, from solo games to multiplayer collaborative experiences, many of which premiere for the first time at the festival.This year’s festival also features two free outdoor games, open to all visitors.

This year we're celebrating Earth Day 2019 with an extended two-week season bringing together leading artists for a series of large-scale installations and events. As part of Somerset House’s year-round commitment to sustainability, and kicking off with a late-night around site on Tue 16 Apr, the programme explores ideas of language around climate change and sustainable living, from a major new courtyard commission, to screenings and hands-on workshops.
