Mother’s Day at Borough Market

Mother’s Day at Borough Market

They birth us and raise us, see too much of us as moody teenagers and too little of us as adults, and forgive us for everything. The least we can do for our mums in return is treat them to some lovely food.
Buy a bottle of Borough Market Gin from The Borough Market Store this weekend and you’ll get a free book, all about gin. Head to So Chocolicious for a range of beautifully wrapped chocolate truffle gift boxes, to Artisan Foods for a traditional simnel cake, to Oliveology for a Greek gift hamper, or to La Tua Pasta for some limited-edition sunflower-shaped pasta filled with Loch Fyne salmon, mascarpone & dill. And for a lunch treat that a child can assemble, Capreolus is offering 10 per cent off two packs of its mixed charcuterie sharing platter.
There’ll be special treats and menus at many of our restaurants. On Sunday, the chefs at Tapas Brindisa will be creating dishes that remind them of their mums and serving up a special Madre Mia cocktail (free if you quote ‘Madre Mia’ when booking). Roast Restaurant is also offering a free Mother’s Day cocktail (quote ‘@CocktailBM’ when booking), while Rabot is throwing in some complimentary Mother’s Day additions to its afternoon tea and Sunday roast.
