Transport for London - Transport for London - 1 and 2 June 2019

TfL email update

Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 1 and 2 June, and the following week.

Most of the network will be open with services running as normal so you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Underground

District line
From Saturday 1 until Sunday 2 June, there will be no service between Edgware Road and Wimbledon. There will also be no service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia) during this time. This is due to track replacement work. Customers should use other Tube routes, local or replacement buses.

DLR

From Saturday 1 until Sunday 2 June, there will be no service between Bank and Shadwell. This is due to Bank station upgrade work. Customers should use either local bus route 15 to connect with the District line at Tower Hill, or DLR services to Tower Gateway and walk to Tower Hill Tube station nearby.
London Overground

Until further notice (except during planned line closures) there is a reduced service every day between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is due to a lack of available trains. Trains will run about every 30 minutes.

However, the first of our newly-introduced trains may provide additional services, resulting in an increased frequency. Please check National Rail website for train times on the day of travel.

On Sunday 2 June, there will be no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction. This is due to Network Rail track work. Rail replacement buses will run.

From Monday 3 until Thursday 6 June, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town / Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:45 each evening. This is due to Network Rail track work. Rail replacement buses will run.

London Trams
On Sunday 2 June, there will be no service between East Croydon and Elmers End / Beckenham Junction until 09:00. This is due to bridge replacement work at Black Horse Lane. The following bus routes will accept tram tickets: 54, 197, 227, 289, 312, 354, 356 and 367.

TfL Rail

From 23:20 on Saturday 1 until 08:00 on Sunday 2 June, trains will not run between Paddington and Heathrow T2 & T3. This is due to High Speed 2 work at Old Oak Common. Customers are advised to use local buses, or the Piccadilly line for Heathrow.

On Sunday 2 June, trains will not be stopping at Maryland, Forest Gate or Manor Park. This is so we can test new Elizabeth line trains transitioning between Crossrail tunnels and Network Rail infrastructure. Customers should use local bus routes 25, 86 or 425 to reach Stratford or Ilford for train services. Additionally, customers at Maryland can walk to Stratford or use local bus routes 69 or 257.

From 08:00 on Sunday 2 June, there will be a reduced train service between Paddington and Hayes & Harlington. Trains will not stop at Acton Main Line and West Ealing. Customers at these two stations are advised to use local buses. This is due to High Speed 2 work at Old Oak Common.
