Get into the spirit of summer with our Feel Good Festival

Enjoy our Feel Good Community Festival of Turkish, Cypriot and Vietnamese culture, and inspiring talks and walks with the Geffrye Friends. Go behind the scenes with a hard-hat tour and see our incredible unlockingthegeffrye transformation, and look ahead to a sizzling summer celebration with Hackney Brewery.
Feel Good Festival
Saturday 1 June, 10.30am - 4pm
Free, all welcome
Feel good moving, making, eating and relaxing at our community festival which celebrates Turkish, Cypriot and Vietnamese culture. Try Tai Chi, Yoga or Zumba, join in with Origami and Turkish marbling, play outdoor games and enjoy delicious Cypriot & Vietnamese food.
 
Restored Almshouse Tours
Various dates throughout June, click link for days and times
£5 / Geffrye Friends and under 16s free
Tour our authentically restored almshouse and find out about the lives of its poor and elderly residents in the 18th and 19th centuries. Object handling tours Saturdays 8 and 22 June.

London Festival of Architecture at the Geffrye Museum: Hard Hat Tours
Saturday 22 June, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm Tickets £10
Get a sneak preview of our Unlocking the Geffrye transformation. Take a hard-hat tour with architects Wright & Wright and be one of the first to see the work in progress on the new galleries, studio and learning pavilion.

Whitechapel Noise: Politics, Sex And Religion In The Yiddish East End
Thursday 6 June, 6.30pm
Friends £12 / Guests £15. Ages 12+

Author, historian and Yiddish singer Vivi Lachs presents an evening of stories and song celebrating the East End’s vibrant Yiddish community and popular culture before WW1. Organised by the Geffrye Friends.

Hackney Brewery Summer Session
Saturday 27 July, Session 1: 12noon - 4pm, Session 2: 5pm - 9pm. Tickets from £10

It’s Hackney Brewery’s 8th birthday, so they've invited the best breweries from across the UK to help them celebrate. Join them for an afternoon of craft beer, delicious food and industry talks and workshops. Each ticket comes with a can of Hackney's limited edition Birthday Beer, a festival glass and a tote bag.

Summer Holiday Fun for Families: Acts of Kindness
Thursday 15, Friday 16, Thursday 22, Friday 23, Thursday 29 and Friday 30 August, 10am - 4.30pm

Have fun and spread a little love this summer. Spend some quality family time doing hands-on art, craft and digital activities, family tours and trails in the museum gardens. Join the museum to do random acts of kindness and make a difference where you live. Full programme from July.
