Borough Market - Enjoy late night shopping throughout December

Enjoy late night shopping throughout December

Whatever Christmas looks like this year, a large quantity of comforting, uplifting Christmas food and drink is going to be just the ticket, and by buying it from Borough Market you can raise your own spirits while also supporting independent traders and sustainable modes of production. To make shopping here as convenient as possible, we’re going to be trading every day, including Sundays, from 23rd November until the very last knockings of Christmas Eve. And starting on 3rd December we’ll be staying open until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Measures are in place to make shopping at the Market as safe and stress-free as possible, and an exciting programme of seasonal entertainment is being planned to make your visit even more joyful and triumphant: watch this space.

Bake for Beirut raises £16k

The Bake for Beirut event, which took place at Borough Market last weekend and featured an incredible cast of bakers and chefs, raised more than £16,000 for charities working in Lebanon’s capital city following August’s devastating explosion. Hats off to the team at Arabica for setting up what proved to be a hugely successful day and heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the fundraising.

Stoney Street by 26 Grains

Chef Tom Cenci has begun a three-month residency at Stoney Street, cooking every evening from Wednesday to Saturday. His rotating menus are showcasing beautiful grass-fed Irish beef and sustainable British produce, with a focus on reducing food waste. The restaurant is currently installing heaters and awnings for those dining outside.

The Cider House

In the village of Burley in the New Forest, apples from The Cider House’s own orchard are made into cider, along with cider fruit from traditional orchards in Somerset and Herefordshire. The stall sells by the glass or the bottle, and offers dry, medium and sweet ciders, perry and, in the winter months, hot mulled cider.
