Weekend travel information

If you are out and about over the weekend, there are lots of public transport options as there are no planned closures on the Tube over the weekend.

You can also find details of our latest safer travel guidance on our website.

In this hot weather, please carry water with you and ask for a seat if you feel unwell.

The information in this email could change, so please check before you travel or use the TfL Go app to plan your journey.

National rail strikes

National rail strikes are taking place on Saturday 30 July.

The majority of TfL's services will run, but no service is expected on the London Overground, including Night Overground services on Saturday.

Most services will run as normal on Sunday 31 July, with London Oveground services returning to a good service by 09:00.

If you use London Overground services, allow more time for your journey and check before you travel.

For more information, visit our strike page which will be updated regularly as more service plans are confirmed.

Plan ahead, check before you travel and leave more time for your journey. Our Journey Planner and TfL Go app can help you plan your journey as required.

A4 Great West Road works

Essential maintenance will be taking place on the Cromwell Road Railway Bridge, which carries the A4 Great West Road over the railway between Chiswick Roundabout and Hogarth Roundabout, from Monday 5 August until late December.

The work will be split into three phases and to minimise disruption, all full directional closures will take place overnight or on weekends. At least one lane will be kept open in both directions for weekday traffic. During eastbound closures, traffic using the M4 will be diverted before Chiswick roundabout.

Allow more time for your journey and where possible, use the M40 and A40 Westway between the M25 and central London.
