In collaboration with the BBC and Transport for London (TfL), the Museum of London is launching a London-wide poetry competition for young people aged 11-16. Part of ‘My London Story’, a project to mark the BBC100 centenary, this exciting collaboration will capture the unique experiences, opinions and creativity of children in the capital today.
We invite entries on the theme of ‘a London bus journey’: something which connects young people to their community, their city and their history.
The competition will be judged by Raymond Antrobus, the award-winning poet, educator and spoken-word artist. The winning poem will be displayed in public across the London bus network; and will also enter the Museum of London’s permanent collection.
The competition is open until 31st July 2022. All entries should be submitted here. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England. |
