Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 11-12 February. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Underground


We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.


Circle line
Trains will not run between Edgware Road and Tower Hill, via King's Cross St. Pancras. This is to allow for track and point replacement work at Farringdon as well as Crossrail construction work at Moorgate.

District line
There will be no service between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington or between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia). This is while we test new signalling.

Hammersmith & City line
Trains will not run between Edgware Road and Barking. This is to allow for track and point replacement work at Farringdon as well as Crossrail construction work at Moorgate.

Metropolitan line
There will be no service between Baker Street and Aldgate while we carry out track and point replacement work at Farringdon as well as Crossrail construction work at Moorgate.

London Overground


Tonight, Thursday, trains will not run between Sydenham and West Croydon after 22:30, for Network Rail track work.

All weekend there will be no service between Romford and Upminster due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail track work.
On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations:
Liverpool Street and Chingford, southbound only until 07:00 for Network Rail track work
Kilburn High Road and Euston from 11:30 until 21:15, for Network Rail work at Euston to enable High Speed Two (HS2)
New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon all day for Network Rail track work
Bethnal Green will not be served by trains to/from Chingford all day, due to Network Rail track work
From Monday to Thursday next week, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:45, due to Network Rail infrastructure work.

There is no service between Gospel Oak and Barking until later this month. This is while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018. For more information, please click here

TfL Rail


Trains will not run on the entire line. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.

There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines.





London Trams


From this Saturday until Sunday 19 February, there will be no service between Wimbledon and Mitcham. This is while we carry out track renewal work.

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Vauxhall - All day on Saturday and Sunday, Albert Embankment will be closed in both directions at the junction of Tinworth Street. This is for a crane operation.

Hammersmith Bridge - From 07:00 on Saturday until 05:00 Monday 20 February, Hammersmith Bridge will be closed for essential maintenance work. This will affect bus routes 33, 72, 209, 283, 419 and 485. For full details, please visit tfl.gov.uk/hammersmith-bridge

Central London - From 08:00 on Saturday until 18:00 on Sunday, temporary traffic signals will be in place on Clerkenwell Road at the junctions of Gray’s Inn Road and Rosebery Avenue. Rosebery Avenue will also be closed northbound. This is for resurfacing works.

Roads


Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:
Broadwick Street, for utility works
Kingsway, for repair works
South Quay West, Wansey Street, Cardinal Place and Bourne Street, for building works
Westfield Eastern Access Road, for site development
Parsons Green, for resurfacing works
