Insights into Isabeau

Isabeau talk with Roger Flury

Join us on Thursday 26 April at 7pm, as we host a talk by leading scholar and author of Pietro Mascagni: A Bio-Bibliography, Roger Flury. The talk will explore our 2018 rarity, Isabeau, in words and music. It will take place at The Lecture Theatre, Kensington Central Library, and tickets cost £10.

Nudity discussion podcast

In February we hosted a fascinating discussion on the topic of Nudity: Shame, Censorship, and Celebration, with a panel of incredible speakers: Donald Macleod, Julie Bindel, Kate Bailey, Lynda Nead, and Anna Picard. If you missed the event, or if you'd like to listen to it again, it's now available as a podcast.

The 2018 International Opera Awards were held on Monday 9 April, and we were thrilled to be announced as the winner of the Education & Outreach category, for our Inspire programme. The Inspire programme was founded in 2010, and has since been working to bring opera to all, via accessible ticket schemes, and projects for social inclusion, health and wellbeing, and education.
We were also excited to see Lauren Fagan (our Violetta in La traviata this season), and Dane Lam (an alumni of our Young Artists scheme, and conductor of this summer's Così fan tutte), nominated in the Young Singer and Newcomer categories respectively.
