Borough Market - The Borough Market Guide to Christmas

The Borough Market Guide to Christmas

Done well, Christmas dinner can be many things: a boisterous multi-generational celebration, a showcase for amazing seasonal produce, a powerful nap-inducing sedative. It can also be tiring, time-consuming and stressful. In our free digital guide to Christmas, Ed Smith gets right to the heart of the matter: how to source and cook the perfect Christmas turkey, how to bring it together with a small number of exceptional sides, and how to do all that with the minimum of stress.
In addition, Bee Wilson explores Christmas Eve fish, Jane Parkinson surveys Christmas wines, Saliha Mahmood Ahmed provides a couple of Boxing Day recipes, and Ed guides us round his ultimate Borough Market cheese board and cured meat platter.

Grace & Skye

Grace & Skye focuses on seasonality, sustainability and a zero-waste mindset, creating delicious and inspired dishes using only the freshest ingredients. At Borough Market, the stall’s eponymous owners will be focusing on Christmas-themed bakery treats, to be enjoyed in the moment or as a gift or stocking filler.

McLaren’s Christmas Pudding

McLaren’s Christmas Pudding makes its annual return to the Market for the runup to Christmas. Each pudding is carefully made to the McLaren family recipe. The fruit is macerated for two days in brandy, Guinness and the zest and juice of fresh oranges and lemons, before being steamed for eight hours and left to mature for several months.
