A very Terry Christmas
Our new baby two-toed sloth is bringing so much joy already to the staff and visitors at the Zoo.

Terry arrived in a bit of a hurry the week before Halloween and we love visiting Terry (and Mum Marilyn) in Rainforest Life at the zoo, which is a balmy 28 degrees all year round!
A day with a komodo dragon?
How about gifting a day with a komodo dragon? The biggest lizards in the world are simply full of charm and personality. Just ask Dougie Pointer from McFly who met Ganas recently. He learnt just what makes them so resilient and spent a few hours behind the scenes, preparing and placing Ganas’ food.
No time to lose: 20% off this weekend!
We like to give something back at Christmas so this weekend (Thursday 25 to Sunday 28) you can exclusively claim 20% off* everything in our online shop with code FESTIVEBOOST.

(*Excludes any Gift Experiences, Gift Memberships or Gift Tickets).
Magic marvellous cheer
Don’t forget you can experience the full Magic of Christmas at London Zoo all December (27 Nov – 3 Jan 2022). We’ve thought of everything for the perfect day out for your family – a line up that’s literally stuffed full of fun and celebrations.
The gift that keeps on giving
Spoil someone you love with the gift of visiting our Zoos every day of the year the whole year round. Now 20% off for a limited time only, our Gift Membership vouchers are the perfect treat for an animal lover in your life.
Wish upon a festive star
How about a gift for our residents? Our animal residents are celebrated by visitors from all over the UK and the World. The pandemic took its toll on our funding so we’ve decided again this year to offer you an alternative way to donate by purchasing an item from London Zoo's Wish List and Whipsnade Zoo’s Wish List. Brought to you by Amazon, there’s lots of choices which can be bought easily that that will enrich the lives of our animals and the Zoo itself!
Something to 'shell-e-brate'!
We’re so lucky to have three big-headed turtles living in our Reptile House this Christmas season. These amazing creatures only hatched last month as a result of some very carefully managed introductions organised by our talented reptile keepers for our four adults.
The State of the Thames 2021
Our much-anticipated State of the Thames Report has recently been released and highlights changes in London’s famous winding river since it was declared “biologically dead” in 1957. Turns out that’s no longer the case as sharks, seahorses, eels and seals have all been found living there now.
It’s widely acknowledged that the Thames Estuary and its associated “blue carbon” habitats are vitally important in the fight against climate change.  Our report helps us chart the progress made and gives hope for further positive improvement in the future for nature, and for our population at large.
