London Transport Museum - Celebrating London's nights and lights

London Transport Museum
The evenings might be getting darker earlier, but that's not stopping the bright lights of London.

It may not be quite as busy as this 1950s poster by Molly Moss, but people are certainly getting out and about as theatres, restaurants, bars and shops all see a boom.

It's even starting to feel a bit festive as the famous lights above London's streets switch on and the countdown begins.

In this month's enewsletter, we're celebrating the return of London's nightlife!

Pocket Underground map for Night Tube
With the Night Tube (partially) reopening later this month, we're taking a look at some of the early Pocket Underground maps of the service.

The Night Tube was first launched in August 2016 with just the Victoria and Central lines, with the Jubilee line joining in October, Northern in November and Piccadilly in December that year. Although it's colloquially known as the Night Tube, in early 2018 the East London line (part of London Overground) was also added to the service.
