Families Find Out: Inventions

How have inventions shaped the London of today? And what would you invent to change the future? Get curious and be inspired by science and technology in this extravaganza of invention-themed activities in our museum galleries. 

There will also be a special guest in the form of Little Miss Inventor wandering throughout the galleries. She’ll be around to share some of her ideas and encourage the next generation of inventors, so be sure to stop her to say hello. This festival is part of British Science Week.
Little Miss Inventor workshop
Sat 9 Mar, 10.30-11am & 2-3pm
Join us for a special workshop celebrating the release of the brand new Little Miss Inventor book. 

You’ll get to find out more about her and the inventions she makes for her friends in this special storytelling adventure. There will be a chance to meet Little Miss Inventor herself and have a photo taken with her. All ticket prices include a copy of the activity book 'Little Miss Inventor's Experiments'.
What's on at the Museum of London Docklands
East End entertainments free family festival
16 & 17 Mar, from 11am - Free drop in
Join us for a weekend of family-friendly jokes and japes to celebrate historical entertainments of the East End.

Stand-up comedians and comedy workshops for kids will tickle the funny bones and songs from the East End's past will entertain the whole family.
Gallery: Docklands at War
Due to its importance to British trade and supply routes, the East End and the Docklands area, in particular, was a specific target for the Luftwaffe.

Learn how the Port not only survived, but continued to help the war effort and became an integral part of the allied victory.
