Natural History Museum- What's on: behind the scenes tour of our spirit collection

What's on at the Museum
Behind the scenes in the Spirit Collection
See the creatures lurking in our basement
We have over 80 million specimens at the Museum and while many are fossils, dried or stuffed specimens a large part of our collection is preserved in spirit. Go behind the scenes with our knowledgeable science educators and encounter treasures such as Archie, (the 8.62-metre-long giant squid) or an octopus collected by Charles Darwin himself.
